Last Chance to See GHOST LIGHT!

Ghost Light PosterGet your tickets now, we close this Sunday! Here’s what Terry Schreiber, of T. Schreiber Studio, says:

“Congratulations to The Shelter for an innovative and evocative evening. Please try to catch this new company at work. It will be well worth your while.”

I’ve directed one of the six plays in this show, and I’m also performing as a vocalist during pre-show, intermission, and scene transitions. It’s a really interesting night of theater, so don’t miss out! Performances are tonight and tomorrow at 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

A Bare Stage, A Single Light, and Me

TGhost Light Posterhis winter has been pretty brutal, what with Sandy and Nemo, but I’m keeping warm by doing live theatre, where it’s nice and toasty under the stage lights. Won’t you join me?

This week and next, I’ll be appearing in GHOST LIGHT, a collection of six short plays set on a bare stage under a single work light, with live music and sound effects. I directed one of the six plays, and will also be performing as a vocalist!

The show opens this Thursday at 8pm, and runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm through March 3, at the Gloria Maddox Theatre, 151 W 26th Street, 7th Floor. Get your tickets now!

Have You Ever Shot a Charging Lion?

Would you like to know how that feels?

Olivia in Glass ChinHere’s a pic of me in my “uniform” from the set of Glass Chin, an independent feature written and directed by Noah Buschel. I played a waitress in a run-down diner, and I got to do a scene with Corey Stoll and Marin Ireland, who are both super nice and super talented. (You may recognize Marin from Homeland, and you may remember Mr. Stoll’s excellent Hemingway in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris.)
